ii. They should also be able to discover the weapons of believers’ warfare. To achieve these objectives, teacher explains the meaning of Jehovah Nissi to students. Teacher also mentions and explains some of the weapons of warfare which are available to the believers.
Teacher concludes by encouraging students to use the warfare weapons appropriately.

C. Text Review - Exodus 17: 8-16
Warfare is part of Christianity. To prevail in this inevitable exercise, believers need some of the following hints:
i. Believers must hold the Lord's rod in their hands as Moses did (thy rod and the staff- the words of God, they comfort me). Psalm 23
ii. Lifting up the rod may be interpreted to mean exalting the word of God, placing the word above our self, above our head and our thinking.

iii. Joshua and Hur were there to support Moses to lift up the rod could mean the power of unity or the unity of purpose in rightly positioning the rod of God. The intensity of the battle sometimes may bring weariness and one needs encouragement. Co-believers should understand that supporting the leader in the battle will not only bring victory to the leader but to them too.
iv. Believers- should note that whenever the name of the Lord, the word of God, or God's attribute; of holiness and righteousness are lifted up, the battle of life and enemies will be vanquished.

D. Teaching Method - Teacher should use lecture teaching method.

E. Time Management - 15 minutes for Opening, 30 minutes for Lesson Outline, Summary, Conclusion and Assignment, 15 minutes for General Review.
